Poem about writing class

Rocky’s Rap on class in writing creative nonfiction

Susan got us writing from the very start,
She even had an assignment to bring in the first day, and kept us writing right from the heart.
Her hand guides each ship of words, steering us thru the storms of grammar,
The rocks of punctuation, the meanings and feelings, too, so our stories don’t stammer.
To Susan: Let us all say a big Thank You! It doesn’t take our whole brain, left and right,
To know we’re going to miss this class every Monday night.
