If you hire me to train your employees to write, expect a mixture of instructive presentations, in-class writing exercises and sharing of ideas and concepts. You will find my workshops both useful and entertaining. Expect confidentiality.

Characteristics of a highly effective trainer

When training adults to write, I

• Am flexible in subject matter. Rather than presenting a one-size-fits-all seminar, I listen and respond to your needs.
• Am experienced but not blasé. I know the material thoroughly – and I love teaching people to do what I love to do.
• Interact with participants. Lectures put people to sleep. I create examples that bring smiles, not boredom, even when teaching business writing.
• Am not an “everything expert.” I teach writing, editing and proofreading. If you want someone to teach fiction, public relations or publishing, I’ll help you find a trainer.
• Am prompt, organized and courteous. I play well with others.
