I write to live and live to write. Since my motto is I can write it or teach you to write it, you know that I am passionate about the word business, both electronic and printed. If you let me into your nonfiction writing world, I’ll make you look good and we’ll have fun in the process.

My approach to writing is: I ink, therefore I am. I try to write lively, entertaining copy instead of tedious text, since I believe that engaged readers are attentive readers. My journalistic credits include 140 by-lines in the Philadelphia Inquirer and by-lines in more than 100 other periodicals. I wrote editions four, five and eight of Pennsylvania: Off the Beaten Path (Globe Pequot Press).

My approach to teaching Since I enjoy talking about writing, I teach writing to adults. My interactive workshops cover the necessary material with a light touch, so that your learning includes some levity. I teach in

Since 1983 I have been a full-time e-lance writer, editor, writing trainer and writing coach. I can write about almost anything – cancer and careers, pharmaceuticals and farms, search engines and service businesses, mammograms and metal detectors.
